San Di.2ego Afri.2can Ameri.2can Museum of Fi.2ne Art

In early 2014 I had the great honor of working with the newly reopened San Diego African American Museum of Fine Art. For eighteen months I documented all events related to the museum’s programming including exhibitions, opening receptions, community events, film screenings, panel discussions, gospel brunch, and the youth docent program.

The portfolio below includes images from the reestablished museum’s inaugural exhibit “In Our Lifetime”; “Black Dolls from the collection of Deborah Neff” featuring more than 100 dolls handmade between 1860 and 1930; the immersive multi-media exhibit “Question Bridge: Black Males”; and Art from the Collection of Jonathan Green and Richard Weedman.
